They're poignant; they're sexy; they're textured, salty, and smart. I mean, of course, Eve Ensler's amazing collection of monologues -- as well as the cast's rich and varied performances. I hope you'll join us for this one-time event -- my adult acting debut! -- by contacting the box office TODAY. (I'm sorry to report that tickets are already SOLD OUT, but please don't give up. You can still get on the waiting list.) All proceeds go to The Family Crisis Center of P.G. County. Personally, my performance is dedicated to Anuradha Sharma. Anu, your friendship, enthusiasm for art, and work on behalf of women never ceases to inspire....

Co-curators David Fogel and Anne Becker have invited seven poet-and-artist pairs to collaborate around the theme "Creation." The results liberate the poets' words to leap the bounds of the white page; and allow the artists' colors, lines, textures, and forms to gain speech. Some pieces are three dimensional - incorporating fabric or a thousand plastic eggs. Some include an audio component.
Artist/poet pairs include: Sally Brucker & Ann Slayton; Bonnie Lee Holland & Anne Becker; James Landry & Greta Ehrig; Margot Neuhaus & Anne Dykers; Stephanie Ney & Carol Beane; Howard Spector & Merrill Leffler; Eric Wolinksky & Sydney March.
Other related dates.... There will be a "jam" session of poets, dancers, and musicians on Saturday, July 12th and a panel discussion about the collaborative process on Friday, July 18th. Exhibit runs through August 13th.
