An award-winning and nationally published poet, Greta Ehrig has recently turned her pen to songwriting. Her "tender / sultry / thoughtful" lyrics lift off the page through "gorgeous melodies," varied guitar-work, and a "clarion voice" that other singer-songwriters liken to Suzanne Vega and Judy Collins.

Greta gives her audiences room to cry. Then, she makes them laugh. Soon, they're singing along.

Serving as a bridge between the folk and literary communities, Greta gives as many as five performances a week in the mid-Atlantic area. She coordinates a house concert and literary series in Takoma Park, MD. Continuing to woo her own multi-headed muse, she is currently at work on new poetry, prose, and songs, as well as her first acoustic album.
