I've got a fun (and diverse) showcase coming up! Hope you can join us for solo originals, jazz standards, and electronic -- and maybe even a few duets. All floating dreamily against the backdrop of Rita Elsner's artwork...

Closing Reception for "Rendered"
Paintings and Drawings by Rita Elsner

Atrium Gallery, Takoma Park Community Center
7500 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912
Friday, November 19; 5:59 p.m.

6:00-6:30 Greta Ehrig (indie / folk / rock on guitar)
6:30-7:15 Bev Stanton (original electronica)
7:15-8:00 Neil Gladd (1920s & 30s standards on mandolin-banjo)

Rita Elsner (fine artist, illustrator, and muralist) enjoys "bringing together visual elements that show they have a connection not obvious at first glance."

Greta Ehrig (singersongwriterpoet and teaching artist) has performed her "sassy and sultry" award-winning songs on stages from the Baltimore Book Festival to the Boulder Museum of Art.

Bev Stanton (of Arthur Loves Plastic) has won over a dozen Washington Area Music Awards. Her electronica has appeared on the Discovery Channel, VH1, MTV, and other cable television. Her newest release, a 30-minute download, was influenced by iPhone applications.

Neil Gladd (primarily a classical mandolinist and composer) has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and in Europe and Japan. For this show, his Vaudeville-inspired alter ego will be playing and singing pop songs of the 1920s and 30s with mandolin-banjo.

Stay late and catch the FREE 8:00 pm performance by the Billy (Coulter), John & Arch Acoustic Trio in the Takoma Park City Auditorium.
